IMIU Awards for Excellence in Risk Engineering
Since its inception in 1996, IMIU’s specialist risk engineers have made over 1,450 individual risk audit inspections at operational mining sites throughout the World. In the course of these surveys each site is subjected to a rigorous assessment of the measures taken to reduce exposure to risk and to minimise the financial impact of risk. The volume of data now held by IMIU is unparalleled in the insurance industry and allows IMIU to rank each and every mining company operation in a manner that previously has not been possible.
To celebrate our 15th anniversary we have decided to make two special awards for Excellence in Risk Engineering. The competition between mining companies at this level of risk excellence is intense and included a variety of operations, both large and small, in all corners of the globe. To achieve the very highest standard of risk reduction requires an enormous dedication to a continuous process of identifying and managing risk and we congratulate every operation that has committed to such an initiative.
