Daniel joined IMIU as a Principal Risk Engineer in early April 2026.

Daniel worked as a consulting engineer for several large engineering firms and in project development and risk management roles for two senior gold producers in the USA, Canada, Peru and Africa, where he led multiple teams and delivered several construction projects. After these roles he worked as a Risk Engineer focused on mining products at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions for seven years.

Daniel has been interested in classic cars since he can remember and stays busy trying to maintain, looking for parts, or rebuilding his motley crew of old Volvos and Mercedes-Benz from the 60’s and 70’s.  He also helps run a large non-profit makerspace with over 100 members, where he works on various projects involving wood and metalworking.
