Tim joined IMIU as a Principal Risk Engineer in early November 2013. Following a change in company structure in 2025, Tim became Risk Engineering Manager.

Tim had principally worked as a mining engineer for Rio Tinto in its various guises over the years. His career as a mining engineer/risk engineer spans 30 years across 5 continents.

Tim likes to go hill walking with his friends.  He enjoys tackling the tough British highland terrain, absorbing the beautiful and bleak views, but ultimately is always glad to know that there is a nice B&B close by and a local pub with a roaring log fire where he can warm his toes.
