Matthew joined IMIU in June 2015 as an Underwriter, before becoming Head of IMIU in 2017.  As of April 2025 Matthew stepped down as he transitions to retirement at end of 2026.

He has worked in the London insurance market for over 30 years. Matthew joined us from Bowring Marsh where he was Senior Vice President and head of the mining property team in London.

He is keen on anything that involves an engine and wheels and, after a hiatus when his children were young, has recently returned to motorcycles. Currently he is more likely to be found confused by modern maths homework or providing taxi services to various of his children’s sports events.
